PROTECTION OF PATIENT DATA COMES FIRST

Onkotrakt conducts its data projects in compliance with all relevant provisions of data protection regulations. No identifiable data are managed at any time outside of the medical facilities where the patients concerned are treated. The pseudonymized data sent to Onkotrakt are encrypted using up-to-date methods. When trial centers and patients register for a project, they are informed about data protection issues and Onkotrakt obtains a declaration of consent under data protection law as well as a declaration releasing the documenting physicians from doctor-patient confidentiality. The transfer of data requires confirmation in the software that a declaration of consent under data protection law has been received from the patient. Onkotrakt does not disclose any personal data to third parties. Analyses and results are prepared and published solely in anonymized and aggregated form.
